#LoveSouthTyneside

March 21, 2019, 12:10 pm

On the 14th February Inspire South Tyneside were delighted to be supporting the launch of www.lovesouthtyneside.co.uk.

Mayor Cllr Ken Stephenson, Andrew Watts (Chair of Improving Communities Board and Groundwork N&ST CEO), Fay Cunningham Cllr for the voluntary sector, partnerships and cooperatives, Debbie Carr (Inspire South Tyneside) and Mark Overton Strategic Ambassador (Inspire South Tyneisde) all attended to lend their weight  to this important initiative, aimed at promoting the huge number of good things going on in the Borough.

#LoveSouthTyneside has been launched to demonstrate and promote Social Action within South Tyneside. Including celebrating the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector and the amazing work they do.

Inspire ST was there, raising awareness of volunteering opportunities, offering information about setting up a local or community group and engaging with our networks from across all sectors.

Inspire South Tyneside’s Strategic Ambassador Mark Overton spoke passionately about the way in which the VCSE sector supports the vibrancy, commitment and community values at the heart of making South Tyneside a great place to live.  He went on to outline the way in which South Tyneside supports the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector. Are you a hidden hero?

Would you like to show your pride in the place and people of South Tyneside?

Don’t hide your light, come on board and become a local South Tyneside ambassador taking every opportunity to highlight the great things going on around our Borough.

We’ve signed up to be ambassadors.  Could you?

There are so many ways to get involved.  You can talk South Tyneside up on your own social media or share opportunities with those who are interested in getting involved, or if you’re keen to start volunteering, why not contact Inspire South Tyneside.

We want more people to become ambassadors, to celebrate Social Action by Social Media, signing up to the website, and through the new awards to recognise ambassadors and volunteering.

Find out how you can get involved in supporting and promoting South Tyneside and be part of the #lovesouthtyneside or at www.lovesouthtyneside.co.uk
